Meet McCoy BioRecoil.
58% PA56 nylon · 42% Sorona®
Partly plant-based. Mechanical stretch without spandex. Selected for lasting recovery and shape retention through repeated wear and washing.
Comfort starts with the fabric. Our selected blend brings together PA56 nylon and Sorona® with the aim of a soft feel, resilient stretch, and strength for demanding shifts—without a stiff, restrictive feel.
Softness. Stretch. Recovery.
Sorona® is known for softness and stretch recovery. We’re developing this blend for an athletic fit that moves with you and returns to shape, with nylon contributing strength and wear resistance.
Why I chose it.
“I chose mechanical stretch because I wanted something different from the stretch scrubs I’d worn before. Comfort and movement mattered—but so did how the fabric recovered after wearing and washing it. That’s why I chose this blend for McCoy.”
Mark McCoy · Founder
Comfort through the shift.
Breathability, moisture management, quick drying, and durability are priorities for the finished fabric. Our planned finish combines water repellency on the outside with moisture wicking on the inside, helping manage perspiration while shedding light splashes.
Partly plant-based. Purposefully selected.
PA56 is a partly bio-based nylon, and Sorona® uses renewable plant-based ingredients for 37% of its polymer. That shifts part of the raw-material sourcing away from petroleum.
Sorona® reports 44% less production energy and 59% fewer greenhouse-gas emissions than conventional petroleum-based nylon, based on a third-party-reviewed cradle-to-gate assessment of its polymer. These figures describe Sorona® polymer production—not the entire McCoy fabric or garment.
Finished-fabric performance and wash durability are being validated. Plant-based sourcing does not establish biodegradability; we are not claiming the finished top is biodegradable. Explore Sorona®’s material information.
Stampede top · Movement, fit & hidden storage

Room to reach.
The raglan construction extends into the back yoke and center-back seam, paired with underarm gussets to give your arms room to reach, lift, and move. Athletic sleeve cuts follow the arm while preserving a professional silhouette.
Shape instead of a square.
A structured V-neck and tapered torso create shape through the chest and waist, reducing the boxy, parachute feel. Side vents and a straight back hem, planned half an inch longer than the front, give coverage as you move.

Easy J Keeper Pocket.
A hidden chest pocket with an internal elastic band, designed to help keep your phone in place when you bend and move. Sized for most phones, with a clean opening and no zipper.
The retention-band idea came from my doctor and friend, Dr. Vijay Krishna—known as Easy J.

More storage. Less visual clutter.
Extra side pockets are concealed in the seams: fully functional storage without visible outside patch pockets. The forward-curving side-seam design and back-yoke construction complete the athletic shape.
These are the current design specifications. Phone compatibility and movement will be checked in the final samples before production.
Stampede pants · Fit & storage
Fit around the lower hips.
A lower-rise waistband with belt loops, a button and zip fly, an athletic leg, articulated knees, a crotch gusset, and a regular hem. Designed to look at home with a scrub top, a T-shirt, or a button-up.

McCoy Inset Cargo.
Cargo capacity. Clean profile. Internal cargo pockets provide usable storage through discreet, color-matched openings tucked into the outer side seam—without zippers or visible exterior cargo pocket bags. Back pockets are external.
Stretch with recovery.
We’re selecting the fabric for comfortable movement, a structured feel, and strong recovery. The final blend and fabric weight are still being evaluated before production.
